Accommodation Novohradské hory
The Novohradské Mountains spread near the state border of Czech Republic and Austria. Its extent is 162 km sq. The highest tops are situated in Žofínská mountainous country on the Czech and Austrian frontier, for instance the mountain Kamenec (1.072 m). There are 14 peaks which exceed 1.000 m in Novohradské Mountains. The Myslivna (1.040 m) and the Vysoká (1.034) lie except Kamenec also on the Czech territory.
The Novohradské Mountains are the worth territory with the considerable concentration of naturalistic interests as are Terčino valley, Žofínský primeval forest, Hojná voda (plentiful water), etc. At the same time exists the areas, which was affected by human activity only a little, so that we prepare the statute of protected landscape area in this region.
