The hotel Horizont I *** is located below of the mountain Pancíř, 1100 m above sea level, about 6 km far from Železná Ruda, in National Park Šumava.
Winter activities: Downhill skiing and cross-country skiing. In near surrounding there are ski resorts Špičák, Pancíř and many modified routes for ski runners. The sports hall on Špičáku is 5 km away from our hotel.
Summer activities: Hiking and mountain biking. Trips in surroundings – The most frequented are lake Laka, Prášilské, Čertovo and Černé lakes, a hill Špičák, outlook-tower Pancíř and Poledník. The region is suitable for mushroom picking. In summer is possible to use an ecological bus, which goes along whole Šumava and as well to Bavarian National Park. The border checkpoint Železná Ruda and Gsenget for foot passengers.
