Hluboká nad Vltavou

The castle Hluboká nad Vltavou is one of best known castles in Czech Republic. It is regarded like most beautiful lord’s big house in Czech republic. It dominates 10 km far northward from České Budějovice. Previously, there was built a royal stronghold there, which was found in the first half of 13th century.

Castle Kratochvíle

Resource lock is located about 3 km northwest of Netolice. It was built by Rosenberg as its new headquarters. Resource has been built according to Italian style renaissance mansions, the so-called casino. Building the castle is a special attractions to ensure the foundations of oak and olšovými pilots who were in the marshy environment to ensure the stability of the building.

Lnáře

Monumental castle Lnáře is located in the colony of the same name 10 km northwest from Blatná. The complex is made up from Old Castle, which is built in situ of ancestral Gothic fortress of noblemen from Lnáře and from New Castle, which was built in 17th century.

Orlík nad Vltavou

The stronghold and later the castle Orlík rises on rocky promontory, high over a river Vltava. Accordance with fable got its name with regard to position as an eagle nest. When the Orlická reservoir was founded, is the valley under castle under-water and the level of the Water is near of castle’s wall.

Bechyně

The castle Bechyně, built in the same way named spa townlet over river Lužnice. The castle arose from the stronghold, which was founded in 13th century. During of 15th and 16th century was the stronghold rebuilt in the late Gothic style.

Blatná

Initially there was a fortress on this place, founded in the first half of 13th century. Here was built a water stronghold at the end of the 13th century. In the years 1523 – 1530 there was built up a renaissance palace. A spacious English gardens, coextensive round, is linked to castle by bridge.

Castle Březnice

The castle Březnice, built in the same way named town by the river Vlčava, which is located 17 km north of town Blatná. The castle arose by the rebuilding of gothic fortress in early of 13th century. It was rebuilt to castle’s resemblance in the middle of 16th century. In the 17th century there was built a chapel and was modified a large castle’s park.

Boubín virgin

Boubín virgin forest with area of 666, 4 hectares is the National nature monument from the year 1858. The worldwide of Boubín virgin forest creates especially beech, spruce and fir; the present virgin forest belongs to well-preserved relics of authentic Bohemian and mountain woods. The oldest spruces and firs are 300 – 400 years old.

Lčovice

Charming early Baroque chateau with an arcaded facade was built in the 17th century. on the spot where stood the old Renaissance fortress. The owner of the castle was designed by architect Josef Zitek builder of the National Theatre. Today the castle is in private and closed to the public.
