Devil's Lake

The Devil's lake is placed up on high of 1030 m above sea level; its area is 10, 3 hectares and the biggest depth is 37 m.

Black Lake

The black lake is the biggest lake on Bohemian Forest. It lies up on high of 1008 m above sea level. The water area level is 18.4 ha and 40m depth. The lake has its name according to the dark colour, which rise of reflection from the dense woods.

Hluboká nad Vltavou

The castle Hluboká nad Vltavou is one of best known castles in Czech Republic. It is regarded like most beautiful lord’s big house in Czech republic. It dominates 10 km far northward from České Budějovice. Previously, there was built a royal stronghold there, which was found in the first half of 13th century.

Castle Kratochvíle

The castle Kratochvíle is located 3 km west by north, from the community Netolice. The castle was built by the clan of Rožmberk, like theirs residence, according of Italian Renaissance buildings. For stabilisation of basement of construction in boggy surroundings, were utilised an alder and oak piles. The last building works was achieved in 17th century.

Castle Lnáře

Monumental castle Lnáře is located in the colony of the same name 10 km northwest from Blatná. The complex is made up from Old Castle, which is built in situ of ancestral Gothic fortress of noblemen from Lnáře and from New Castle, which was built in 17th century. The reconstruction was performed inside only, so that the original similarity was preserved.

Orlík nad Vltavou

The stronghold and later the castle Orlík rises on rocky promontory, high over a river Vltava. Accordance with fable got its name with regard to position as an eagle nest. When the Orlická reservoir was founded, is the valley under castle under-water and the level of the Water is near of castle’s wall.

Bechyně

The castle Bechyně, built in the same way named spa townlet over river Lužnice. The castle arose from the stronghold, which was founded in 13th century. During of 15th and 16th century was the stronghold rebuilt in the late Gothic style.

Castle Březnice

The castle Březnice, built in the same way named town by the river Vlčava, which is located 17 km north of town Blatná. The castle arose by the rebuilding of gothic fortress in early of 13th century. It was rebuilt to castle’s resemblance in the middle of 16th century. In the 17th century there was built a chapel and was modified a large castle’s park.
