Vysočina
Vysočina – the name is deduced from the name Bohemian and Moravian Highlands, the raised downy countryside, which is situated between both historical countries of Czech Republic. It reaches the top in two points. These are Žďárské Highlands situated in the north and Jihlavské Highlands in the southwest. The main European watershed which stretch lengthways former terrene border divides the region into two nearly identical parts. The Highland has somewhat colder weather. The average annual temperature is 5 -70C. The former primeval forest was altered during generation of people. Now we can find here the downy savannas, subdivided by protracted hills and valleys and a large number of forests and groves. There is also many lakes and brooks in this territory.
Some most high tops: Devět skal (836 m), Křovina (829 m), Malínská Rock (811 m), Horní les (774 m), Kočíčí kopec (‘756 m).
The largest water reservoirs: Velké Dářko is the lake (206 ha) with recreational territory situated near the dam and Vírská dam reservoir (232 ha).
